Wallin’s ring return delayed by Potsdam postponement

Otto Wallin (18-0, 12 KOs) will have to wait a little longer before returning to the ring following the postponement of his fight with Gabriel Enguema (8-3, 5 KOs).

Wallin was scheduled to face the Spanish heavyweight tomorrow night in Potsdam, Germany. However, main event fighter Tyron Zeuge was forced to withdraw from his WBA World title defence with a stomach virus, and despite the best efforts of Team Sauerland regrettably the show has been postponed.

“It is too bad that the show got cancelled because I was really looking forward to fighting again and I feel like I’m in the shape of my life,” said Wallin.

“I’ve had great sparring and training since my last fight in April. Now as always I’ll go straight back into hard training and try to be even better for my next fight that will probably be sometime in January. I believe 2018 is going to be a big year for me.”

Swedish fans can still look forward to Wallin’s stable mate Anthony Yigit defend his European Super Lightweight title against Joe Hughes tomorrow in Leicester.

"I would like to wish Anthony all the best with his European title defence," adds Wallin. "I'm sure he will win and bring the belt back home to Sweden!"

Yigit vs. Hughes will be available to watch live on TV10 from 23.00 (CET).
