Nordic Fight Night – full fight report

The Nordic Fight Night returned to the Albetslund MusikTeatret in Copenhagen on Saturday night. Fans were treated to eight fights, featuring top talents from across the globe.

Full fight report:

Ghanian lightweight Richard Commey (19-0, 17 KOs) improved to 19-0 with a unanimous points victory over Samir Ziani (17-2-1, 3 KOs) . The judges scored the fight 96-94, 96-94 and 97-93.

Noel Gevor (15-0, 9 KOs) impressed with a TKO victory over Tamas Polster (17-8-1, 9 KOs). The German cruiserweight dominated his Hungarian opponent before the fight was stopped in the fifth-round.

Swedish light welterweight Anthony ‘Can You Dig It’ Yigit (11-0-1, 4 KOs) was back in action, claiming a seventh-round TKO win over Gianluca Ceglia (10-3, 2 KOs).

Oscar Ahlin (11-0, 9 KOs) brought his exciting style of boxing to the Copenhagen suburb. The Swedish light heavyweight scored a unanimous points victory over Pablo Sosa (3-4-3, 2 KOs).

Rashid Kassem (6-0, 3 KOs) overwhelmed and outpointed Kakhaber Avetisian (36-27-1, 18 KOs) to claim his sixth professional victory. The judges all scored the fight 60-54 in favour of the Danish lightweight.

Micki Nielsen (16-0, 12 KOs) showed maturity and class in his unanimous points victory over former world title challenger Gusmyr Perdomo (21-5, 14 KOs) in the first of three co-featured main events.

Erik Skoglund (22-0, 11 KOs) took another step towards a world title challenge with an impressive points victory over Jamaican veteran Glen Johnson (54-20-2, 37 KOs). The rising Swedish star proved too much for the former IBF World Light Heavyweight Champion, and after ten rounds of action the judges scored the fight 98-92, 97-93 and 97-93.

Hometown hero Patrick Nielsen (23-1, 11 KOs) returned to winning ways, outpointing Polish contender Lukasz Wawrzyczek (20-4-2, 3 KOs) to claim his twenty-third professional victory.
