Danish young guns Kore and Lynggaard clash on June 20 in Copenhagen

Danish young guns Landry Kore (3-0, 1 KO) and Andreas Lynggaard (1-0) clash on June 20 at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen.

In a big night for Danish boxing, the domestic duel is the latest addition to a stacked ‘Danish Dynamite’ card, which already features the country’s top talents Patrick Nielsen, Micki Nielsen and Dennis Ceylan.

‘’I know Andreas well,’’ said Kore. ‘’We’ve done a lot of sparring together so I know all his strengths and weaknesses. Honestly, I feel sorry for him. He is a nice guy and we’re friends outside the ring, but when the bell rings I’ve got no choice but to beat him. I’m on a different level to him and there is no way he is going to last six rounds with me. I’m going to knock him out. It’s nothing personal, its just business

‘’It’s been six months since my last fight and I’ve been training hard with my coach Poul Duvill. I’m in great shape and ready to go. I want to entertain the fans and show everyone what I can do. I’m counting down the days until June 20.’’

The ambitious Kore has made a good start to his professional career with three convincing victories, while Andreas Lynggaard sees the match-up as an opportunity to prove that he is one to watch for the future.

“It will be a close and equal fight, but I am convinced that I come out as the winner," said 22-year-old Andreas Lynggaard."It's a tough fight for both of us to get so early in our careers, but I must say that I am really looking forward to it. It will be a great fight for the Danish fans. Landry throws many punches, although I throw fewer, I will be landing more bombs. To be honest, I think that I'm a better boxer.”

In the evening's main event Patrick Nielsen (25-1-0, 12 KOs) faces Ghanaian Charles Adamu (23-6-0, 17 KOs) in a defense of the WBA International Super Middleweight title, while featherweight talent Dennis Ceylan (14-0-1, 7 KOs) takes on Sergio Prado (11-4-1, 4 KOs). Full details of the undercard will be announced shortly.
