Danish success at the Nordic Fight Night

Landry Kore, Steffen Andersen, Andreas Lynggaard and Abdul Khattab were all victorious in their fights at Saturday's show in Copenhagen.

Landry Kore (3-0, 1 KO) again showed progress, as he defeated Artem Karasev (4-15-1) on points, with all three judges scoring in his favour (59-55, 60-54 and 60-54).

A lively Kore controlled the fight from the outset and never looked in danger of tarnishing his perfect record.

"There is still room for improvement. I boxed only 80 per cent of what I had hoped for, but the spectators have more to look forward to next time," said Kore.

Cruiserweight Steffen Andersen (6-0, 1 KO) made short work of his comeback appearance against Ralf Sawetzki (4-10-3, 3 KOs). A powerful left hook to the body proved too much for Sawetzki and Andersen claimed a second round knockout.

Middleweight Andreas Lynggaard (1-0) got of to a good start to his professional career with a points victory over Michal Vosyka (2-14-1,1 KO).

Lynggaard was by far the most active of the two boxers, and had his Czech opponent in big trouble in the third round. All the judges scored 40-36 in the Dane's favor.

In the Danish main event, Abdul Khattab (9-0, 3 KOs) secured a points victory over Laurent Ferra (16-18-4, 4 KOs). Khattab outboxed the Frenchman, in what was the Dane’s first eight rounds contest.

"I could feel that it was the first time that I went eight rounds. It's about being patient and become more and more accustomed to going more and more rounds," said Khattab.
