Abraham and Eubank Jr exchange words at final press conference

Arthur Abraham and Chris Eubank Jr exchanged words at the final pre-fight press conference ahead of their IBO World Super Middleweight title clash on Saturday at the SSE Arena Wembley in London.

‘’I’m going into the ring on Saturday to make a statement,’’ said Eubank. ‘’I want to be the first man to stop Arthur Abraham, and with my combination punching, speed and ferocity, I see no reason why not.

‘’I’ve said I want to fight the best and I want to fight for all the titles. I believe the tougher the test the more that comes out of me. I will rise to the occasion.

After I beat Abraham, I will enter the World Boxing Super Series. George Groves is already in there with his World title and other top fighters. It will be a great opportunity for me to showcase my skills and prove I am the best in World.’’

I feel good, and I’ve been enjoying my time in England,’’ said Abraham. ‘’My training has been good, and I’m happy to be here. I look forward to fighting in London, and I feel very confident, otherwise, I would not be here,

‘’I do not look at my past results or achievements. Nothing is older than the success of yesterday. I have already set new goals and targets that I want to achieve.

‘’I have respect for all my opponents. I know that anyone who fights for a World Championship is good. On Saturday, the best man will win, and that will be me!’’

The IBO World Super Middleweight Championship fight between Arthur Abraham and Chris Eubank Jr is available to watch live on ITV Box Office in the UK and Ran Fighting and Sky Select in Germany.
